A watch immersed in Royal Navy history – and officially approved by the Ministry of Defence. A ground-breaking all-lume dial that comes alive after dark. And a chronometer movement that delivers accuracy every time. The second-generation C65 Dartmouth may be based on the 1967 Omega Seamaster 300 ‘Big Triangle’ (Ref 0552) – commissioned by the MOD for the Royal Navy – but it offers so much more: from 200m of water resistance to the RN’s naval-crown insignia deep-stamped onto the backplate.
Refitted, reinvented – and ready for action
Refitted, reinvented – and ready for action
To describe the C65 Dartmouth as the perfect retro-dive watch may sound like a boast. But in the case of the second-generation C65 Dartmouth, it’s an understatement.
Like its predecessor, the watch is modelled on the Omega Seamaster 300 ‘Big Triangle’ of 1967, which was commissioned by the Ministry Of Defence for the Royal Navy, and which boasted a distinctive wedge of lume at 12 o’clock (hence the nickname).
While the Dartmouth’s design is as authentic as before, the dial is now entirely coated in Super-LumiNova® – something that delivers a ‘full-screen’ glow when lights are low. The sapphire bezel – an innovation borrowed from the Aquitaine Collection – is also fully lumed.
The matte dial hosts CW’s ‘twin-flags’ emblem. Not only is this in line with our understated design aesthetic, but it also harks back to days when military watches didn’t carry the names of the companies that made them.
As befitting a field watch, power comes courtesy of a COSC-certified Sellita SW200-1, which is in the top six per cent of Swiss-made movements for accuracy. As with the regular SW200-1, this chronometer version has a ‘hacking seconds’ function: a throwback to the time when being able to ‘synchronise watches’ was vital in operations.
Utilising the 41mm Light-catcher™ case, the C65 Dartmouth also has a retro ‘glass box’ crystal and 200m water resistance – should you take to the seas. The inverted triangle at 12 o’clock and the upgraded indexes contrast with the matte blue dial, providing clarity in – and out – of the water.
Most notable of all? The Royal Navy’s crown insignia has been deep-stamped into its stainless steel backplate.

Befitting a watch named for the Royal Navy, the C65 Dartmouth is powered by extremely rugged and precise Swiss-made automatic movement – in this case, a chronometer-certified version of the Sellita SW200-1. Tested by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres, an institute responsible for ensuring the highest standards of horological excellence, the SW200-1 has been tested in a number of positions and temperatures to ensure precision timekeeping throughout.

Approved by the Royal Navy
Stamp of approval
On the back of the watch, you’ll find the Royal Navy’s Naval crown insignia, deep-stamped into the metal. Whenever you see it, you’ll remember the history of the ‘senior service’.
The brighter bezel
A radical upgrade on the first Dartmouth, the sapphire bezel is not only engineered to function at depth, but its lume-heavy markers will glow brightly when light’s in short supply.
Past master
Influenced by Omega’s Seamaster 300 ‘Big Triangle’ – a 1967 watch especially commissioned by the MOD – the second-generation C65 Dartmouth is vintage in style, but ultra-modern in build quality.
Cool comfort
The 41mm Light-catcher™ case has brushed and polished surfaces, which reflect light every time you wear it. And thanks to its smart design, it’ll sit snugly on your wrist.
Light up the dial
Love lume? You’re in luck. The matte dial – like the indexes – has been fully covered in Super-LumiNova® for an all-dial glow that’s impossible to ignore.
Making the best better
Christopher Ward’s Military Collection gets its first upgrade since its launch in 2019 – with a set of stunning retro-style watches named after the Services’ world-famous training academies.
